Album Details :

The music in our country is now passing through a metamorphosis and many musicians are contributing to this process. Modern-day music lovers of Bangladesh are also lovers of various musical styles. From the very beginning, Ornob captured attention and admiration from fans all over. In fact, Ornob, along with his band Bangla, introduced us to a new kind of sound. However, in case of a solo compilation, he came with a different music than that of Bangla and, that continuity is clearly evident in his second solo Album.
Apart from the track ‘Chalak Tumi’ and ‘Baksho Baksho’ all the songs are written by two lyricists (Mainly Taufik and Rajib). Yet, the album captures the new age sound as Ornob has shown his virtuosity in blending various musical forms.
The opening track is a soothing pop ‘Bakshe bakshe’. ‘Tomar jonno’ can be better described as a fusion. This charming romantic song is artistically perfected by Ornob’s Sarod playing. The singing in the track follows the path of pop but anyone can get a different feeling from a jazzy tone.

The third one is the eponymous number ‘Hok Kolorob’. This time, the song is again a new age pop backed by fantastic piano playing. To add, this has an aura of melody matched by Ornob’s spectacular voice.
Now, a completely different one is ‘Tui Ki Janishna-1’. Through this piece, the singer has presented his musical talent in mixing Indian classical with new age and jazz. This song is nothing but an arresting collaboration of music, voice and instrumentation. From my point of view, this is largely influenced by Prem Joshua. Thanks to Shana for her stunning back vocal.
Another different musical journey is ‘Tor Jonno’, the 6th number in the CD. The song initially starts with a captivating acoustic guitar (A little funky), which later begins to be accompanied by a dance beat. One feature which made this song a unique one is the different singing style and the change of tempo.

This great musical journey also ends in a remarkable way - with haunting sorod, flute and keyboard. To tell about Ornob, he is simply mind-blowing!!!
The 7th one is ‘Shomoy Kaate’ and this is a soft rock piece. The inclusion of rhyme (as stated in the Album) in the end is enjoyable.
The 9th song ‘Muhurto’ is also a unique one. I am really very impressed; in case of genre, this soothing number is lounge music with relevant synthesised tones.
I am finishing with ‘Tui Ki Janishna’ and this is the last song in the album. Actually, this track is a reprised version of the number ‘Tui Ki Janishna-1’. In this version the addition is the inclusion of world music. To make it clear, Anob also introduced an ethnic musical influence. No doubt, this is influenced by Deep Forest’s ethnic fusion.
From the beginning to the end, this album is worthy of buying and even the artistic album cover will inspire. If you keep faith in my words, I will say - go for the album. I said a little about Ornob’s vocal works and if I want to express clearly; his voice is simply brilliant.
