Prottutponnomotitto (2006) was a protest against growing religious fundamentalism and violence. The album, based on the concept of existence and survival of the fittest in terms of religious justification, reflects on the mayhem that struck the country in the name of religion at that time. Each of these Lalon numbers speaks about how the simple humanistic ideals have taken a back seat to ritualistic religion. The numbers incline towards mysticism. Musical collaboration with UK musicians, Ishmael Ulto, Phil Dawson, Kishon Khan and Justin Thurgur gives this album a unique touch. The dexterous blend of Eastern and Western instruments gorgeously match the passionate renditions of Anusheh, Arnob and the Fakirs (Rob Fakir and Allauddin Bishwas) who took part in this musical protest.
